TROIS BELLES DANS UNE SATIRE DU SHOW BUSINESS DES “ANNEES 50”
Le cinéma, miroir aux alouettes, attire à PARIS la jeune provinciale, NICOLE NOBLET (MICHELE MERCIER), lauréate du concours “Miss Cinémonde” venue disputer la finale. Bien que battue, NICOLE suscite l’intérêt d’un attaché de presse cynique et entreprenant, GILBERT MARTIN, qui lui procure quelques petits rôles.
Ayant obtenu ce qu’il voulait de NICOLE, il l’abandonne. Pour subsister, NICOLE doit poser pour des photos « suggestives” et, découragée, se jette sous une voiture au moment où un célèbre metteur en scène s’intéresse à elle. Blessée, la jeune fille reçoit à l’hôpital la visite de son fiancé, GEORGES, qui saura lui faire oublier cet univers cruel.
THREE BEAUTIES IN A SATIRE ON THE FIFTIES SHOW-BUSINESS
The cinema lures the young provincial girl NICOLE NOBLET (MICHELE MERCIER) to Paris. Prizewinner of the « Miss Cinemonde » contest she has come to unsuccessfully compete for the finals. But NICOLE arouses the interest of a cynical and enterprising press-agent, GILBERT MARTIN who lands her a few small parts. Having gotten what he wanted of NICOLE, he abandons her. To survive she has to pose for « suggestive » photos. Discouraged she throws herself underneath a car in the moment where a famous director gets interested in her. The young girl lies injured in the hospital. Her fiancé, GEORGES, visits her and makes her forget this cruel universe.
